Enjoy the convenience of our staffed laundry service at Urban Laundry North Fitzroy.
Whether you’re a domestic or commercial client, leave your washing to us and rest assured that we will take good care of it.
Our commercial washers give a really thorough clean, followed by drying and attention to detail when folding or ironing. Just leave your items in a bag (along with any special instructions) and we’ll take care of the rest.
We offer wash dry fold, wash dry iron as well as an iron only service. We soak, starch, pre-treat or bleach on request.
Pick up and delivery can be arranged.

LINEN WASHING SERVICE
Need your table linen washed?
Bring your linen to Urban Laundry and we’ll take care of it. There’s no need to worry about folding, we do that too!
We offer a pick up and delivery service for linens and can do same day service. We can tailor a package to suit you and your business.
TEA TOWEL WASH & EXCHANGE
Our tea towel service includes the supply and laundering of our own durable tea towels including delivery and pick up.
We can tailor a package that specifically suits the needs of your business including delivery and pick up. Our service is easy and affordable.
Our tea towels are all laundered with commercial grade detergent that ensures the Australian standard is met for chemical sanitisation.
DOONAS, DUVETS & PILLOWS
At Urban Laundry we have high capacity machines ready for deep cleaning your doona, duvet, or pillows.
Whether it’s polyester, wool, feather or down filled, you can rest assured we can take care of all your bedding cleaning needs.
We recommend cleaning your doona at least once a year.
SAME DAY SERVICE
Urban Laundry offers a same day washing service.

Self service wash
Our coin operated DIY washing facilities are open from 6am-midnight, 7 days a week every day of the year.
We have triple, double and single load washing machines ranging from 6.5kg to 18kg. Our dryers range from 12kg to 20kg in capacity.
You are welcome to bring your own detergent, or for a small price you can buy hypoallergenic phosphate free laundry powder. Only want to dry your clothes? “Drying only” customers are welcome too!
For your peace of mind, our washing machines are cleaned and disinfected daily.

At Urban Laundry, we care about the environment and have invested in modern, more efficient washing machines and other equipment.
Our laundry premises
We have energy efficient, high quality lighting installed at the premises to minimise electricity usage.
We’ve also provided rubbish bins and a recycle bin at the laundry, should you need to dispose of anything.

Our laundry powder is phosphate free, hypo allergenic and low suds, helping to keep our waters clean.
What you can do
We suggest that you choose “cold cycle” where appropriate and consider the amount of detergent you use.
Whenever possible bring your own hangers and bring laundry in a basket instead of plastic bags.
Please do not throw away any good hangers! We accept all hangers and poly bags for recycling.

How much is your self service wash?
Washer pricing is per load.
Washers Extra Large (MAX 14KGS) = $8
Washers Large (MAX 9KG) = $7
Washers Medium (MAX 7KGS) = $6
Washer The Super Washer (MAX 18KGS) = $10
Dryer Large = $1 per 10 mins
Dryer Jumbo = $1 per 8 mins
I have a business, what services do you offer?
We have many business customers, i.e. hotels, restaurants, massage and physiotherapy clinics, sports clubs etc.
Give us a call and we’ll work out a deal that works for you. We can even pick up and deliver your laundry to make it even easier for you.
Where do you offer your laundry services?
At Urban Laundry North Fitzroy you are welcome to choose our specialist washing service or make use of the DIY washing facilities.
Please note that Urban Laundry Brunswick is a DIY washing facility only.
What items do you clean?
If it’s washable we’ll wash it. This includes towels, bed linen, clothing, curtains, doonas, business shirts and blouses etc.
If it cannot be washed, we can dry clean it for you.

How can I pay?
Our DIY machines take coins, as well tap & go and mobile payments using your Paypal account or VISA and Mastercard)!
During service hours we can give you change for bigger notes if required.
For our laundry services, including dry cleaning and alterations, we accept cash, EFTPOS and credit cards (VISA and Mastercard).
What about detergent?
We use industrial grade detergent for our service wash and on request also offer hyopallergenic detergent at no extra charge.
If you use our DIY machines you can either bring your own detergent or purchase hypoallergenic detergent from our soap dispenser.
How can I get to your premises?
You can find us on 352 St Georges Rd in Fitzroy North in Melbourne VIC (between Holden St and the Merri Creek Intersection)
If you have a car, usually there is parking in front of our laundry.
If you would like to use public transport, use tram 112, and get off at stop 24 or 25. From there it’s a short 1 minute walk.
There are also several bus lines close by, 250 and 251 are only a 2 minute walk from here.
